type='text'>i'm committed damn it!</title><content type='html'>so the last 2 days have been really trying on me, and tomorrow will be too (but i'm committed)yesterday we went to a friend's (me with my buffalo chicken and diet soda) while everyone there had ordered in pizza.&lt;br /&gt;and today wife made dinner plans to go out with some friendswe went to Red Robin'si looked through the menu, they were very accomidating&lt;br /&gt;i ordered the burger salad, it came with lettuce, tomato, red pepper, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and melted swiss cheese and choice of dressing&lt;br /&gt;i substituted the burger for a plain grilled chicken breast (6oz)&lt;br /&gt;ordered the onions and mushrooms uncooked&lt;br /&gt;substituted the swiss cheese for shredded cheddar.&lt;br /&gt;and ordered the chicken, onions, mushrooms, cheese and dressing on the side&lt;br /&gt;unfortunatly when i got the salad it had shredded carrots&lt;br /&gt;i took about 1/4 of the salad (about 1 1/2 cups of lettuce, with a few tomatoes, a bit of carrot, tomatoe and pepper)&lt;br /&gt;cut up my chicken and put it on the top&lt;br /&gt;added a bit of onion and 3 slices mushrooms&lt;br /&gt;and a sprinkle of cheese&lt;br /&gt;i used my fork to dip into my dressing, however i ate 90% of the salad without any dressing, and it was still an explosion of taste in my mouth after a 5 days of only meat.&lt;br /&gt;i must admit my friends are very supportive of me and this lifestyle change, i am also very excited that a resturaunt can be so accomodating, or i would have had to just sit there with my diet pop and water (how not fun)&lt;br /&gt;tomorrow is breakfast with the mother-in-law, something i have not done in the last few months and was told i'm not allowed to avoid this one, even though i try lol, but i have it all planned out and am sticking to my guns, gonna keep it low fat, low car, and low cal&lt;br /&gt;i am very proud of myself for not cheating&lt;br /&gt;i hope today doesn't count as a cheat, although it did contain some shredded carrots, but i did my best to pick them out&lt;br /&gt;tomorrow is another K/E day, and then i start Bootcamp on Monday.&lt;br /&gt;tomorrow i am even going to try eggs, i have a sensetivity to them, but maybe with the absence of my other sensetivites (dairy, wheat, whey) maybe i will be able to hadle them, i will start off type='text'>and so starts day 4 on kimkins</title><content type='html'>wow after day 3 (start of day 4)&lt;br /&gt;i'm down a total of 6.8 and FEELING GREAT&lt;br /&gt;who knew weight loss could be so simple.&lt;br /&gt;i have yet to have a craving and plan to keep it that way&lt;br /&gt;i guess we are going out this eveing with some friends, lets see how well i can keep from temptation!&lt;br /&gt;i know i will do good!&lt;br /&gt;no plans to cheat here&lt;br /&gt;i guess we are going to swiss chalet&lt;br /&gt;i can have 1/4 chicken with no skin or wing, that would be yummyit has 225 cal, 8 fat, 0 carbs!and of course some lemon water and diet coke&lt;br /&gt;i think i have decided to stick to k/e until saturday (that would make it 5 days of k/e)&lt;br /&gt;then on saturday i am going to start KK for 1 week, then switch over to bootcamp.&lt;br /&gt;i am really excited about this!&lt;br /&gt;3 days and down 6.8 pounds! its crazy&lt;br /&gt;i am averaging a loss of apporx 1.8-2.5 type='text'></title><content type='html'>wow day 3 is almost over&lt;br /&gt;today was great no headaches, fatigue, only had the runs (which for me is quite normal actually, but this is a little more extensive, i think its cause of the lack of fiber)&lt;br /&gt;today i started off with 2 scallops (2oz) and 1 oz of bacon (if that)&lt;br /&gt;snack was a pep n' cheese stick (i totally forgot to bring a snack, and it only had 1 carb)&lt;br /&gt;lunch was 1.5 oz of pork&lt;br /&gt;dinner was 2 oz of cajun snapper and 1 oz taco beef (1.5 carbs)&lt;br /&gt;so today was a total of 4 carbs(if that)&lt;br /&gt;i went shopping today to look for a lite version of french vanilla creamer, but i guess we don't have that here in canada like they do in the states&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;because of my work schedule, i need to eat my meals cold, so i have to eat meat cold, i have found a way to make my meals for work, so that they taste good and stay colder longer.&lt;br /&gt;i cook things up, and portion them into 2 oz ziplock snack bags and freeze them.&lt;br /&gt;then when i need it i take it out of my freezer and throw it into my lunch kit and its thawed (while staying cold) and ready for lunch.&lt;br /&gt;i just cooked up a chicken and am going to chop it up and put it in hot sauce, cause wow i was sure suprised how good chicken in hot sauce is when its cold.&lt;br /&gt;same with the taco meat, i used extra lean ground beef, only 1/2 the bag of spices for 1.5 times the meat and it yeilded 8 2oz servings at approx 1.5 carbs per serving&lt;br /&gt;i am happy with my progress so far after 2 days i was down 4.2 pounds and when i got home from work i was down another 1 pound, so i can't wait until tomorrow!&lt;br /&gt;yay&lt;br /&gt;love this lifestyle change!&lt;div type='text'>after day 2 on kimkins</title><content type='html'>wow after day 2 on kimkins i have lost a total of 4.6 pounds.&lt;br /&gt;and to be honest i have no cravings for anything really&lt;br /&gt;on day 1 my wife had wendy's, and nope i didn't want it, and suprized myself actually by not eating it&lt;br /&gt;on day 2 my wife had garlic toast, and again, nope i didn't want it, and i LOVE garlic toast!&lt;br /&gt;i have adapted the theory that if i want to be thin i MUST stick with this for a minimum of 1 year of being strict on myself, then when i hit my goal weight (unless the dr tells me to stop losing weight) i can add things i like IN MODERATION back into my eating, so that i can maintain the weight&lt;br /&gt;i am very proud of myself, the first week is usually the type='text'>And the survey says...</title><content type='html'>Alright. I went and found a scale yesterday.  I seriously think that it's broken.  There is no way that I weighed what the stupid thing said.  (It almost got a damn good thrashing, let me tell you).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So apparently, I weigh about 230 lbs.  That's horrible.  I didn't realise I was that huge.  Thankfully, I still have my Richard Simmons Tapes and DVD's to the rescue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To date I've lost about two lbs, through the Richard Simmons DVD's.  I'm happy.  Now I'm down to 228.  I've also cut out a lot of crap from my diet (like McDonalds) and eating more sensibly.  I have killed the coke and replaced it with OJ and AJ and water.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jen seems to think she can lose more lbs than me.  I beg to differ.  In fact, I bet her that if she lost 50 lbs, I'd send her $100.  (That's $2 per lb out there for you budding mathematicians).  I think my money is safe, but we'll have to see :) :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm reading a book by Dr. Jillian McKeith, the host of the wildly popular television show &lt;strong&gt;You Are What You Eat&lt;/strong&gt; that shows about twice a day on the W network.  Check it out. type='text'>Happy Valentines Day</title><content type='html'>So today was a good day for me.&lt;br /&gt;Got up early and went to aquasize (even though I was exhausted cause I went last night)&lt;br /&gt;I have eaten fairely well today, except for the 2 cupcakes that I had to celebrate valentines day.&lt;br /&gt;I also went to my weekly weight watchers meeting and lost another 2.4 pounds (since starting with weightwatchers), which makes my total pounds lost since I started to lose weight a total of 9.2 pounds.&lt;br /&gt;I step on the scale everyday and i seem to lose between 0.2 and 0.6 pounds, not that I'm complaining, cause really I'm not.&lt;br /&gt;I am very excited, I am succeeding in my goal to become heathier everyday.&lt;br /&gt;I was also very proud of myself today, I received some coupons in the mail for MaryBrowns, so of course I craved MaryBrowns.&lt;br /&gt;I was going to stop on my way home from work, but thought it better, cause it wasn't worth it.&lt;br type='text'>A little about me, Jen</title><content type='html'>Well a little about me.&lt;br /&gt;My name is Jen, and I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada.&lt;br /&gt;I am 23 years old and married.&lt;br /&gt;I am 5' 7" tall and my current weight as of today is 258.6 pounds.&lt;br /&gt;I am a ETS (Edmonton Transit System) Transit Operaotr, aka a bus driver.&lt;br /&gt;I have struggled with my weight all off my life, being overweight since the age of 10.&lt;br /&gt;Now that I have a seditary job, I knew if I didn't do something to lose the weight, it would just pile on.&lt;br /&gt;Scott and I have been friends now for about 6 years, we met online through an msn group.&lt;br /&gt;I told him that I wanted to lose weight, and he challenged me to see who can lose the most weight.&lt;br /&gt;And Scott your Richard Simmons' tapes are no match for my Weight Watcher's and aquafit classes with my grandma.&lt;br /&gt;My inital weight on  Jan 18/07 was 267.0 pounds, and as of Feb 12/07 it was 258.6.&lt;br /&gt;I will be putting up daily blogs of my progress, including weekly weigh ins and monthly measurments and maybe even some pictures (if possible).&lt;br /&gt;My goal is to lose approx 110 pounds, as i would like to be around the 145-155 pound weight, which is average for my height and age.&lt;br /&gt;Well I will post a little later today or tomorrow with an update.&lt;br /&gt;And
